This has been a very strange week, especially considering that the prior one was spent at home, which was very nice. I am absolutely horrified that the Carrows have Muggles here at Hogwarts. We're not supposed to use magic in front of them! And I do not think that hexing them like that was very nice, because having been hexed a few times before, I know that they are not pleasant. The Male seemed very upset at what was happening to the Female, so I wonder if maybe they are siblings or married, since they did not really look much alike. I am concerned that they are not getting enough food! The Female looked as though she was losing her hair or something. Or maybe it is from the stress. Hogwarts has been very stressful lately. I would imagine that they would just like to be home. I know that I would.

I'm finding it harder lately to remain positive. I want to do a good job in my lessons but some of the things we're learning, I can't imagine will come in handy during our NEWTs or after we leave Hogwarts. I feel so awful for the younger years who have been hurt because some one thought that ruining the Hospital Wing was a good idea. Sometimes I wonder if the whole school hasn't gone completely mental.
I still miss my jarvey. I wish that I had him to take care of because at least then I would have some distraction. We've been learning interesting things in Care of Magical Creatures, but I think that raising our own magical creatures was even more interesting, even though Hagrid is a bit odd. I probably would have picked a different type of animal, because jarveys are very rude, but I think they had a very sensitive side too, just like people!

I think that the Carrows have maybe finally completely mental or something. Who, in their right mind, would want to hurt Ruby or Parvati? They haven't done anything to anyone. I don't think that anyone ever deserves to be killed get hurt when they haven't even done anything. I think maybe I will start a petition. I don't know if that would do any good but I just don't think it's right for them to take things this far. They've already taken away our jarveys and I really miss mine. And I still can't believe that they fed poor Sasha's jarvey to that filthy crup. What did a jarvey ever do to anyone? Why can't people just leave other people and the jarveys alone?

[WARDED PRIVATE TO HANNAH ABBOTT, AGNES CRICK, REGAN MONTGOMERY, SASHA ROPER AND RUBY SAVAGE.]
After all of the awful things that have happened this week, I was thinking that -- if you're all feeling well enough, of course -- maybe it would be nice if we made biscuits for people who have seemed to have an especially horrible time this week. I understand completely if you don't have the energy (especially you, Hannah - I hope you're feeling better).
If you do think it's a good idea, I thought that perhaps all of the people involved in today's demonstration might feel better if they had some. And Anthony, of course. I also think that Daphne is very upset about her jarvey and maybe she would also like some. Or perhaps some angelfood cake, since she said that's her favourite kind. Am I forgetting anyone?
I would also like to do something nice for you, Hannah, if there is anything you can think of that you would like. I think you deserve that after such a dreadful week. [END WARDS.]

I can't believe that the Carrows are making people torture our jarveys. Even if he was rude and frustrating, I have been raising him. I am fond of him! What if the Carrows had to let some one torture their crup? They might be upset about that and know how the rest of us feel. I just want to give him a hug. He's probably cold and scared and hungry. This isn't fair!

I absolutely adore Valentine's Day. Hannah was so sweet and helped me make biscuits for everyone. The majority of my day was lovely. Of course, things were also terribly wrong at the same time. The younger year that was taken the other day came back, but he won't say a word to anyone. So I have been so worried about him, and then to make matters worse, the Carrows wouldn't let us have our Valentine's Day dinner with our jarveys (I'm sorry, Bianca. I guess our jarveys won't be having a romantic evening after all). And then as if all that wasn't bad enough, we had to wait even longer to eat and it was cold. I'm trying to think positively but that is getting progressively harder so maybe I will just end in saying that I hope everyone had a nice Valentine's Day.

Sasha and I came up with a wonderful idea to make biscuits for Rose and Tamsin. We were worried that they wouldn't want to eat anything because they haven't been feeling well after eating supper last night. So we thought that they might feel better about eating if they had something delicious to eat like biscuits! If we all work together, we shouldn't have a problem getting enough ingredients. And maybe Hannah Abbott would let us use her baking supplies or even help us! I know she makes biscuits quite often.
Well, what do you all think? [END WARDS.]

Has anyone seen Rose and Tamsin? I went to check on them since they both seemed so terribly ill this morning and they were nowhere in Hufflepuff or the library or the Hospital Wing. I do hope they haven't run off to hang more banners or something. Also, whoever left these pamphlets lying about, such things are obviously very dangerous and I don't advise that anyone makes any more of these. Didn't everyone see what they made Rose and Tamsin do last night? Their idea of punishment is rather unorthodox and I would hate to see anyone else hurt. I am already so worried about the girls.

I am in a state of disbelief at the behaviour of both students and professors at this school. Whoever was throwing hexes in the hallways yesterday, I do not appreciate it. After all of these stupid fights and riots, can't we have some peace and quiet. I was on my way to class, minding my own business. This is really not on.
And then to make matters worse, the Carrows want us to perform a play? What sort of professor asks their students to do something like that? I can hardly remember what I've eaten for breakfast, let alone lines for a play. And then we have to perform it? Please, no one laugh at me. I will be nervous enough as it is.

I can't believe they wanted us to try and teach these stupid Jarveys to hold spoons. It's not as though they have thumbs like we do. Plus, their hands are tiny. Mine can hold it in two hands if I hold them there, but then he gets angry with me and tries to bite my fingers. I don't even want to know what they're going to have us do next week. And I'd say that it will be nice to have a relaxing weekend, but with the Quidditch match tomorrow, I really doubt there will be any sort of relaxation. Hopefully it won't go as poorly as the last match, but I also doubt that, given the way everyone's been fighting all week long. I will naturally be supporting Ravenclaw. No offence to Slytherin - the people on the Ravenclaw team are just nicer.

I wish I'd known what the year's project was going to be when I signed up for Care of Magical Creatures. Jarveys are not easy to train. Every time I ask mine to jump through a hoop it just curses at me. Why should I take this kind of abuse from an animal? If it were a student, I could take points away from it but I don't even know if that would have any effect. It certainly wouldn't teach it a lesson. I wish there were some way to get through to him. Maybe it's just a male thing. Complete block heads. I may as well give up at this rate.
